Eva was born in Germany and grew up in Bavaria. She came to the United States in 1967.
Eva studied oil painting at Nevad's Studio in Dunellen, New Jersey and has attended the Art Student's League in New York City. Eva completed training at the Armat School for Graphic Arts in Plainfield New Jersey, after which she worked full time in the printing industry while raising a family and continuing her art endeavors. Eva graduated with honors from St. Petersburg College in 2004.
After moving to Florida in September 1991, Eva
has taken classes at the Dunedin Fine Art Center including painting with Brooke
Allison and invitational painting classes with Christopher Still. She has also
taken sculpture with Kyu Yamamoto. Eva's work has been seen in juried
shows including an oil painting at the 1994 All Florida Spring show at "the Arts
Center" in St. Petersburg, Florida and in April, 2000, one of her sculptures was
selected for inclusion in the First Juried Student Art Exhibition in the Muse
Gallery at St. Petersburg College. Eva exhibited a number of her works at
the Pasco-Hernando Community College in February 2001 in a show entitled "Three
Chicks From Out of Town." The same month she was recognized with the
"Recycling Award" at the Fourth Annual Pasco County Art of Recycling show, for
her creatively dressed mannequin entitled "Fashion of the Future." In 2006
she won two separate "Best of Show" awards at the St. Petersburg College.
Until recently, she continued her studies there with Elizabeth Indianos.
She now exhibits at the galleries in the Tampa Bay area including the Progress
Energy Gallery, in New Port Richey, Florida and paints for private clients.
While living in New Jersey, Eva exhibited her work at local art festivals,
at the Tweed Gallery in Plainfield and at Imageworks Gallery in North
Plainfield. Her work has been purchased for corporate display, by
restaurants and private clients. Three of her paintings are in the
permanent collection at St. Petersburg College.
